As well as complete one of the activities:
In this activity you are asked to get familiar with your consciousness state.
This does not mean thinking about our emotionally reacting to your state or even judging the state from a physical perspective. For example someone can be hungry or thirsty or angry or sad but these are attributes of consciousness and not your actual state of being. To understand this adopt a mindful perspective of observing your three centers of awareness – your body mind and emotions. Place specific attention on how the observer feels rather than the contents of the emotion or thought itself.
This is what we call conscious qualia or conscious experience. In a dream state you might have the most pleasant or horrific imagery but it is the conscious quality that can determine factors such as lucidity or awareness. As you continue to practice you will become far more acuity aware of your consciousness state throughout the day and may notice fluctuations that are rather substantial that you might not have even paid attention to in the past.
